Your EPR Compliance Journey
Compliance with the EPR Programs is a journey that starts with understanding whether your company is a producer and for what materials, based on each state's program, your company's position in the supply chain, and the sales pathways for different covered materials. From there, your company must create a list of covered materials for which your company is responsible that corresponds to the categories of covered materials developed in each state, and identify the volume and/or weight of covered materials for each category, using data collection methods acceptable to the Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO).
EPR Group can support you on this journey. Our EPR Compliance Solutions:
-
Mitigates risks for your company by identifying producer obligations for which your company is responsible
Minimizes fees for your company by identifying others in your supply chain responsible for fees so your company can document risk allocation -
Maximizes convenience, flexibility, and confidentiality of company information by providing information in a digital PDF report that can be used on a free-standing basis, for data entry into an EPR based software, or used with your closed source AI.

Ongoing support is available from EPR Group's professionals on an as-needed basis or on a retainer basis to answer questions as they arise and/or update elements of our EPR Compliance Solutions to include new programs, new guidance, and new developments. Look out for new EPR Group offerings: a Sustainability Plan and a Fee Impact Analysis.
Beyond EPR
EPR Group provides
other related services, including truth in labeling restrictions, PCR requirements and

EPR Solutions Package
Our EPR Solutions Package is the foundation for all your EPR compliance needs - share it with your team or across departments to create an integrated knowledge base and preserve institutional knowledge about your compliance obligations. No complicated software, no long-term vendor commitments - strategic and customized support provided by legal and public policy professionals with decades of experience.
Producer & Packaging Evaluation
The Producer and Packaging Evaluation (PPE) is our signature product, a substantial report designed as a dynamic "living document." The PPE template was developed by legal and public policy professionals over two years and we are continually updating the PPE template to include new programs and program developments. As customized to apply to your company, the PPE ensures that critical institutional knowledge about your company's obligations is readily available over time and across multiple departments. It can be used as a foundation for a Compliance Manual or to develop SOPs. By providing you with your own customized compliance database, you have greater flexibility for how you develop your own compliance program and are not tied to any particular vendor or external software program.
Compliance Plan
Your Compliance Plan tells you at a glance what you need to do and when you need to do it. It tags key various compliance decisions, including further steps needed to evaluate potential exclusions or exemptions and cross-references to the PPE where you can access a more detailed explanation and context for action items in the Compliance Plan.

Producer Obligation Matrix
Before categorizing your supply data for reporting purposes, it is critical to understand what obligations are within scope and what obligations are out of scope.
The Producer Obligation Matrix (POM) identifies your company's obligations for different sales pathways and covered materials under each state's EPR program. It includes links to state's covered materials lists, to CAA guidance for reporting data, and instructions on how to use the POM to report supply data.

Timeline of Registration and Reporting Requirements
A complimentary timeline of registration and reporting timelines is included with your Toolkit. We identify both the PRO requirements for compliance and statutory and regulatory timelines.
